Update August 2020

Clubhouse facilities update from 21st August 2020

The safety and health of our staff, volunteers and members will always be our priority, we need to make important changes and this means we’ll need your patience and understanding; we simply can’t accommodate some of the services we’ve previously offered.
• Bar will open 12-8 at Thu-Sun, 12-6 Mon-Wed with vastly reduced capacity and as drinks and bar snacks only
• Locker rooms will remain closed, please continue to change in the car park and kindly do not enter the Clubhouse with wet/muddy gear or golf shoes
• Ladies and gents’ toilets, in main foyer, will be made available

Please be mindful of social distancing guidelines at all times when visiting, particularly when entering and exiting the clubhouse and when using the toilets.
Government guidelines on indoor and outdoor gatherings
These are widely available on the www.gov.uk site, please ensure you familiarise yourself with them before visiting the club.
We draw your attention to this specific excerpt.
Indoor gatherings should only be occurring in groups of up to 2 households (including support bubbles while outdoor gatherings should only be occurring in groups of up to 2 households (or support bubbles), or a group of at most 6 people from any number of households.

The Club is not in a position to determine members or visitors’ household situation or with whom they share a support bubble. The onus will very much be on the person using the facility to ensure they are complying with the guidance.
The Club will be using its membership database for track and trace contact details. Visitors will also be asked to leave their contact details.

Bar

We are open for drinks and bar snacks only. No hot food will be served.
The main foyer will be for access to the bathrooms and, via the stairs, access only to the bar upstairs.
The main foyer stairs are not to be used to exit the building apart from emergency use.
The outdoor steps leading to the balcony may be used to enter and exit the bar. Please observe social distancing when using the stairs.

All payments will be cashless, using member card number where possible. You can top up your card balance via the ClubV1 app. We will also be accepting contactless debit card payments. This is for your safety as well as the safety of our staff.

Bar – Indoor seating
Access to the bar will be to order drinks and snacks only. Once ordered they must be consumed outside.

In order to manage local restrictions there will be no seating, standing or socialising inside of the club.
Please avail of the balcony and patio areas where groups of up to six may mix, whilst still adhering to social distancing.

There are hand sanitising stations in multiple points, please use these on entering the bar area.

Members’ Lounge and boardroom will remain closed.

There will be no live sport or using the televisions or projector for any capacity.

Bar – Outdoor – Patio/balcony use
The bar will be set up to allow members to safely order drinks and take them, with disposable glasses, either to the balcony or the patio area (chairs and tables will be provided on the patio area). We would ask you to nominate one person to collect drinks on behalf of your group, this limits people in the Clubhouse. Trays will be available.
Table service will also be available where feasible.
Bathrooms
The toilets in the main entrance foyer are open. It will be one in, one out, please observe this and follow current government guidance on social distancing when having to queue.
Hand sanitiser will be available, cleaning materials in the bathrooms will also be provided. We ask you to kindly respect the next visitor’s safety.

Locker rooms

The locker rooms will remain closed until further notice.
• A COVID-19 risk assessment has been completed, complying with government guidance, this will be reviewed.
• Hand sanitiser has been installed to help keep frequently touched surfaces as clean as possible.
• We have increased the frequency of cleaning and disinfection of all surfaces,
• Staff have been re-trained in the correct hand washing method and frequency.
• Any staff displaying symptoms or pre-symptoms of COVID-19 will be excluded from the workplace.
• We respectfully ask that you do not visit Withington Golf Club if you are suffering from symptoms of COVID-19.
• We will make PPE available to all our staff for their safety as well as yours.
• Please refrain from handing over glasses, to avoid direct contact with our staff. These will be removed regularly by a member of our team.
Play Safe. Be Safe. Stay Safe.
